Les 10 titres sont dix petites perles qui me font passer à un truc entre Polar Bear Club et The Hunters. C'est super agréable à écouter, ça transpire l'indie ... mais on sent que le groupe est toujours à deux doigts de lacher les fauves.

Alone Together is a fantastic pop punk creation. The tracks on Alone Together are pop punk songs with instances of this great guttural inflection and an indie undertone.The more I listened to this album, the more I got into it, especially with all the kick ass sing along type moments in each of the tracks. They totally can rally an audience.

They’re the boyschool version of Hot Water Music, the a bit more laid back kind of Bouncing Souls. Think in the line of Title Fight and Tigers Jaw and a lot of gentle indie influences from the more postrock sounding bands and you’ve got this band cornered.

Archers And Arrows a progressé en deux ans, passant d’un jeune groupe plein de promesses à une machine qui crée des titres puissants, prenants, je pense notamment à Sing to the wind, véritable tube en puissance.... Mention spéciale au batteur qui est bluffant sur de nombreux titres en trouvant des rythmiques accrocheuses et en alignant des roulements d’une propreté exemplaire.

Les harmonies vocales triomphent et impressionnent au plus haut niveau; elles sont contagieuse, parfois émotives, sans trop déborder, elles filent le parfait mariage avec chaque élément ambiant du disque, mais surtout avec les saisissantes mélodies de guitare.

Archers and Arrows ajoute quelques influences indie rock fort appréciables qui l’éloignent des clichés inhérents au genre et qui pourraient lui servir encore davantage à l’avenir si le groupe parvient à développer cette richesse d’influence qui s’avère être sa meilleure arme pour se démarquer au sein d’une scène déjà très peuplée. Car pour le reste, pas de soucis, les musiciens sont bons et ont parfaitement maîtrisé l’art de sortir des compositions aussi accessibles qu’accrocheuses, truffées de mélodies et de passages plus énergiques.

Impossible to label it, to forced into a particular genre, Arches and Arrows it’s kind of ageless and fresh, furious, teenage oriented, but simultaneously calm and mature music, something which eventually catch your little sisie’s soul, would fit nicely in your ex-hippie father’s iPod and even your mother would listen it while she’s cooking the dinner.
